Sunrise Sauce Chicken Bites
Servings: 2 Prep Time: 15 minutes Marinating Time: 1 hour Cook Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 1 hour 25 minutes
Ingredients:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 12-16 ounces total), cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup "Oak City Spice Blends Sunrise Sauce"
4 tablespoons corn starch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:
Place the chicken pieces in a bowl. Pour 1/2 cup of "Sunrise Sauce" over the chicken. Toss to coat the chicken evenly with the sauce. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
After marinating, drain the chicken pieces, discarding the excess marinade. Toss the chicken pieces with the corn starch until evenly coated.
In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat (about 350°F / 175°C). Add the chicken pieces to the pan in a single layer, cooking them in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
Fry the chicken for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F / 74°C). Remove the chicken from the pan and let drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Serve the Sunrise Chicken Bites hot with your choice of sides, such as rice, vegetables, or a fresh salad. Garnish with Sesame seeds.
