Ingredients:
4 beef steaks (such as filet mignon)
1 tbsp cracked black pepper
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 cup cognac or brandy
1 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
Prep Steaks: Pat the steaks dry and coat each side with the "1920s Social Hour Spice Blend" and cracked black pepper.
Cook Steaks: In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook to your desired level of doneness.
Make Sauce: Remove steaks and keep warm. Add cognac to the pan, and scrape up any browned bits. Reduce by half, then add cream and reduce until thickened.
Serve: Spoon sauce over steaks and serve immediately.
