Southern Star Dust Spiced Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
½ cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and Southern Star Dust seasoning.
Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth. The batter will be thin, but that’s okay.
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Frost with your favorite chocolate or vanilla buttercream and garnish with additional rose petals if desired.
