Saxon Silk Flavored Cabbage Rolls
Ingredients:
For the Filling:
1 lb ground beef that has been cooked with fat drained off
1/2 cup cooked rice
1 onion, finely chopped
1 egg
2 tablespoons Saxon Silk seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Rolls:
1 head of cabbage
1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
1 cup water
Sour cream, for serving
Directions:
Prepare Cabbage Leaves: Boil a pot of water. Core the cabbage and carefully peel off the leaves, blanching them in boiling water for a few minutes until pliable. Drain and set aside.
Make the Filling: In a bowl, mix together ground beef, cooked rice, onion, egg, Saxon Silk seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Fill and Roll: Place a spoonful of filling on each cabbage leaf. Roll up, tucking in the sides. Place rolls seam-side down in a baking dish.
Cook: Pour tomato sauce and water over the rolls. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 1-1.5 hours
Serve: Serve cabbage rolls
