Saxon Cheesy Balls with Saxon Silk Seasoning

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 148g cottage cheese

  • 2 whole eggs

  • 2 teaspoons Saxon Silk seasoning (from Oak City Spice Blends)

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1/4 cup oil

  • 1.5 cups mixed shredded cheese

  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Stir well to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed.

Add Wet Ingredients:

Add 148 g of cottage cheese, 2 whole eggs, 2 teaspoons of Saxon Silk seasoning, 1/4 cup of milk, and 1/4 cup of oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until the batter is well combined.

Incorporate Cheese:

Fold in 1.5 cups of mixed shredded cheese into the batter. Ensure the cheese is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Form the Cheesy Balls:

Using a small ice cream scoop, scoop out portions of the mixture and place them onto the parchment-lined baking tray. Space the scoops evenly to allow for spreading during baking.

Bake:

Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheesy balls are golden brown and cooked through.

Serve:

Remove the tray from the oven and let the Saxon Cheesy Balls cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm as a delicious snack or appetizer!
