Ingredients:
3 cups (360 g) all-purpose flour
1 packet (2¼ tsp) instant yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
1½ teaspoons salt
1 cup (240 ml) warm water (about 110°F or 43°C)
2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil (plus extra for greasing)
2 teaspoons of Wilde Garlek seasoning for topping
Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir with a wooden spoon until the mixture begins to come together.
Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 7-10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
First Rise:
Lightly oil a clean bowl and place the kneaded dough in it. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth or plastic wrap.
Let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free area for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size. Shape the Dough:
Punch down the risen dough to release air bubbles. Transfer it to a lightly floured surface.
Shape the dough into a loaf by flattening it into a rectangle, then rolling it tightly. Pinch the seams to seal and tuck under the ends. Second Rise:
Place the shaped loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Loosely cover with greased plastic wrap.
Let it rise for about 30 minutes, or until it puffs up slightly. Preheat and Prepare for Baking:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Sprinkle Wilde Garlek seasoning on top. Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the loaf is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom. Cool:
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 20 minutes before slicing
