Cilantro Lime Crema with Peruvian Sun Seasoning
Ingredients:
1 cup sour cream or Mexican crema
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon lime zest
1 tablespoon Peruvian Sun seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients:
Wash and chop the cilantro leaves.
Mince the garlic.
Juice and zest the lime.
Combine Ingredients:
In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream (or Mexican crema), mayonnaise, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, lime juice, lime zest, Peruvian Sun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
Blend:
For a smoother consistency, blend the mixture in a food processor or blender until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, simply mix well with a spoon or whisk.
Adjust Seasoning:
Taste the crema and adjust the seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lime juice as needed.
Chill:
Cover and refrigerate the crema for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve:
Drizzle the cilantro lime crema over your favorite tacos just before serving. It also pairs well with burritos, enchiladas, and grilled vegetables.
